Probably wondering through the streets with our frayed hair trailing behind us, tripping over the locks of those in the line in front of us. What a life that would be. Luckily, hair dressers do exist, and some of them are really quite good.
In fact, some are so good that with the right tools they can completely transform the way you look.
Christopher Hopkins and his team are such artists!
Also known simply as “The Makeover Guy”, Hopkins and his team in his salon and spa in Minneapolis, Minnesota bring joy to the lives of those who need a new start. With some scissors, makeup and a little elbow grease, they change the lives of people forever.
Specifically, Hopkins has focused much of his talents to helping women in and past their middle-age to find their refreshed sense of beauty, having published his best-selling book “Staging Your Comeback, A Complete Beauty Revival for Women Over 45”.

Quite often, long hair can be sought after as a style, and something that many people covet. But how long is too long? At what point do you decide to make the chop and lose a few (tens of) inches? Well Christopher and his team know exactly when, and for one woman, the time had come.
In this amazing video, you can see how this one woman transformed through her makeover.
With a little help cutting her locks a little shorter and a facial makeover, she gets a whole new look that winds her clock back a few decades.
After Christopher sizes the job up, it’s time to pick a new length.
They settle on a spot roughly halfway down. That’s going to be a lot of weight off this woman’s shoulders- literally! It’s a daunting thing to lose so much hair when it takes so long to grow, but it’s a decision she has clearly come to on her own. After years of having long blonde braids, she speculates whether her family will even recognize her.
And when the time comes to make the chop, it’s a big moment for her.
What she doesn’t know yet is that by the time The Makeover Guy’s team is done with her, she will sparkle with a brand new light that she didn’t even know was inside of her.
And her face when she holds her cut-off hair is priceless.
Looking at it in her hands, she seems to see what a commitment she’s made, but she remains resolute, and rightly so. When they’re done with her, she looks like a new woman and the comments reflect that her transformation has inspired others to try the same.
